Now that it is Oct. 1, it is odd that I know of nobody who has been notified that they may purchase tickets to the Led Zeppelin reunion concert. Originally, the plan was for lucky selected pre-registrants to have been notified by today, but that deadline was reported to have shifted along with the pre-registration deadline due to difficulties experienced in accessing the overloaded Web site. Has anyone been notified?

ReplyDeleteAll official sites state that successful applicants will be notified prior to 1 October....I like you have not heard of one person who has been notified. I wasn't aware of any extension to the notification date.?
Looks like I will have to try and buy tickets from someone who will no doubt want thousands of pounds for each one!!........
Thousands of pounds indeed. Someone forwarded me a link today to a broker's site selling two tickets for $10,925 each, which converts to over £5,383.
ReplyDeleteYou probably already know that if you are purchasing a ticket whose unique identifying numbers have been disclosed, the promoters are likely to render it inoperative. Paying the price quoted above for a deactivated ticket is risky, to say the least.
Also, consider the better use of that money considering it could have benefited the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, providing higher education for a student in England, the United States or Turkey, who cannot afford to attend a university.
Web site now says successful applicants have been picked and should expect an e-mail in the next 24 hours!!

ReplyDeleteI did get the email and bought tickets. The email I received was sent a little before 1:00 p.m. U.S. Central time on Monday the 1st.
